The Lodge & Denali National Park

At Denali National Park, we stayed in a lodge owned and operated by Princess Cruises.   It was comfortable and served its purpose.   There were some beautiful flowers around the lodge.   This first one is of the Alaska state flower, the Forget-me-Nots.   The hanging flower basket is just representative of the flowers they had.

Around the outdoor eating area, diners had to be particularly aware of the “Mew Gulls”.   They are very aggressive.

This is the Nenana River. The Princess Lodge is located on this river and the background in the above pictures is this river.

Once inside the Denali National Park we did get a view of Mount McKinley.   In this first picture it is 75 miles away.   In the last picture we had gotten to within 65 miles.   It is a huge mountain!   The wildflowers below are “bluebells”.
