Getting There

The only land feature pointed out by the Delta pilot during the entire trip to Seattle was the Grand Tetons.   The Grand Tetons, part of the Rocky Mountains, are located in the state of Wyoming and are visible in the first two images.   Our flight path took us just south of the Yellowstone National Park and north of the Grand Tetons.   The next two photos, I believe, are of Mount Hood followed by a look at the Cascade Mountains.

As we approached Seattle we had a very nice view of Mount Rainier.

From Seattle, we journeyed to Vancouver by tour bus.   Probably the worst part of the entire trip.   Once we arrived at Vancouver we went straight to the pier where we went through the formal boarding procedures.   To record this event, Princess camera crews were on the spot taking everyone's photograph as they arrived.   Already on board was my sister, Jerry, and her husband, Andy, a.k.a. simply W.A. We found their stateroom then watched events pass by us as we departed Vancouver.

On deck, we made our way to the fantail and found that it was an interesting location to take these three photos.

The day of embarkation was a long day. Awaking at 5:30 a.m., we had arrived at the Cincinnati airport at 7:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. flight. The Sea Princess got underway at 6 p.m. Pacific daylight time, that was 11 p.m. eastern daylight time. We were tired and the five hour time zone change was not helping. The first night was smooth sailing and good sleeping.
